• Mt. Talamitam Open Climb Update (as of Oct. 12 / 17:27) The Pre-Climb Meeting for the Mt. Talamitam Open Climb & 2nd Minor Climb is on October 18, 2006 (Wednesday), 7:00 PM at Shangri-la Food court, near Wendys (elevated floor).

• 2nd Minor Climb: Batch 7 will have its 2nd Minor Climb on October 21-22, 2006 at Mt. Talamitam. Please coordinate with with the Membership Committee at training@hakams.org for more inquiries.

• We have agreed to give a proposal for the restructuring of the org. The new proposed org structure would be that the org be divided into committees namely internal committee, external committee, publicity committee, marketing committee, socials committee and membership committee. Each committe will have specific functions and each committee will have a committee head, assistant and members.

• We have also agreed to register the Hakams org under SEC for the org to be able to conduct legit fund raising activities such as conducting benefit concerts, raffle promos, exhibit booths, mountaineering related sport contests, online advertising, aquire sponsors, and to open our own org's bank account, etc.

• There will be a regular general assembly.A once a month meeting of all the members. This will ensure constant communication and will keep the org alive and update everybody of what is happening within and outside the org. This will also serve as a venue to open up proposals and suggestions that will help benefit the org. Meeting schedule would be every 3rd friday of the month, 8pm, makati area (glorietta, greenbelt). We have yet to find a specific place to conduct meetings as restaurants, KTV, etc. this is still open for suggestions.

• There will be an ANNUAL RENEWAL OF MEMBERSHIP with corresponding membership fee. We have agreed to collect P500/year annual fee. This will be our help to our org. The fund will go to activities that will benefit Hakams. For one, our website still resides in one of our member's own domain. We need to get our own domain and hosting. This will have lots of benefit if we did get our own... we will be able to install here in our website tools that will enable our members post in forums, blogs, polls, advertisement, etc. The fund will also go to our org's training and other activities. In return, those who have renewed their membership will get an ID card valid for the year when the membership is renewed, they are entitled to certain org priviledges as discounts to some services offered by the org or by its members, the right to vote and be heared, etc. As time goes by, we will add more priviledges that each member can enjoy. This will also be our initial basis for the members commitment to the org. All members are welcome, old and new, even those abroad.

• We will have another GENERAL MEETING. In this meeting, we will see by show of attendance who are committed to the org. For those that are out of the country or are living in another island :) , you can still show your commitment by posting here in our website and helping us with your suggestions and opinions.
